Happy memories reading this. I was there and remember it well. (Can't remember what I did yesterday mind).
Me and my mates were near the back of the North Bank but after the goal I found myself right at the front. One of the best surges ever.
I also remember how well Bob Hazell played - Big Cyrille was a great player and Bob practically marked him out of the game.
I agree re: Tony Currie - a Rolls Royce of a player. I was there when he did his knee in a pre-season at Wimbledon. He was sadly never the same player again. Would've been one of the all time QPR greats but for injury.
Anyway, this has got me excited for tomorrow. Yeah, I know, I should know better at this age.....

15 yrs old, in North bank, we feared the pace and power of regis, wba had a really good team then, often top 6, a few uefa cup runs and we were a league below, but we had a blooming good team then. HAZELL was immense that day. great day and memories, we may not see the like for ages
