I really don't know what to say. There is so much work to do on the contract side of things , getting rid of players, that I think the job is too big for Toshack.
That said, we brought Potter in with a fanfare of a new recruitment structure and then promptly shafted him.
If the club was steady , with a good director of football, I'd give Toshack a go.
I think we have to roll the dice again on a new manager with a solid team of assistants behind him, keep us up and then hopefully, this time next year we'll be in a far stronger position. |  |

That’s why it’s particularly gutting that he’s gone so early. He, and his team were a long term plan. A now we are back to square one!
