| Swansea City v Wayne Rooney’s Derby County : Matchday Thread 21/22 21:18 - Apr 6 with 13432 views | NotLoyal | It’s the Wayne Rooney thread with added thread and thread. The type of thread your old granny used to use to thread your socks. The Ref ! Tim Robinson will be the referee when Swansea City host Derby County at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday (3pm). The West Sussex official will be taking charge of a Swans game for the second time this season — having overseen the home win over Blackburn in February - and just the fourth time in total. He previously had the whistle for the away win at Reading during the 2018-19 season, and the defeat at Fulham the following campaign. Robinson will be assisted by Andrew Fox and Nigel Lugg, while Sam Allison will be the fourth official. Robinson has taken charge of 30 games in all competitions this season, dishing out 132 yellow cards 🟨 and six reds 🟥 including the one issued to Ryan Manning in that meeting with Blackburn. 132 yellows in 30 games ! Look out ! Wayne Rooney looks ahead to Swansea City v Derby County 8th Apr 2022 10:16Derby boss Wayne Rooney really couldn’t have done anything more to get his side in to a position where they had half a chance of staying in the championship this season. The loss of twenty one points for administration issues and financial breaches have been the catalyst for what is fast looking like relegation. 0 Job Done ðŸ‘

Why would a professional manager with yrs of experience of being on the field of play and off it in the professional game take advise off anyone off here, its laughable, you wont see that though of course. Anyway you crack on. |
What have I twisted? You said that you thought I stated that Martin has logged on and read posts on here and changed as a result. Something I didn’t say or even allude to. What are you even talking about? You are having a completely different conversation to anyone else on here, you crack on and keep reading what you like. If you were to make it up you could have made it more exciting and added aliens and stuff to it though. Where’s your imagination?

| Swansea City v Wayne Rooney’s Derby County : Matchday Thread 21/22 on 23:24 - Apr 9 by magicdaps10 | Quest were really good with it, only thing they all decided on was the goalkeeper fouling Patterson. I think Cabango fouled the player AND we should have had a pen, keeper deffo should have had a red. The refgo was so inconsistent, only thing he got correct was their penalty decision. |
If we had rightly been awarded the clear pen and or their keeper been sent off their cries for a pen wouldn't have happened as the game would have changed massively, Rooney needs to appreciate that, I like him, he was a quality player and has done a great job at Derby and got a great career ahead of him in management. At the end of the day the Ref was pathetically bad and there's far to many earning a decent living in a game that they haven't the qualities to be in.

Even the most experienced managers make mistakes and sometimes stuff written on here is accurate. Would have to have the ego the size of the largest vegan restaurant in the UK to not take good advice just because it comes from a lowly fan.

BTW still awaiting a reply as to why you think if RM read threads on here we would have improved in 3 weeks ? I asked " He is the one who played and now managed at a professional level. Have you ever played the game at that high a level, let alone coached a side ?"

Well I don’t, it was a tongue in cheek response to someone who thought I was encouraging the management team to read our views on here. I made the point that if he had then he would have read the very changes he’s made now after week 3. It wasn’t a request or a suggestion that he should. Unfortunately that was max misunderstanding a point I made regarding posters on here and the importance of honest critique.

“Players win games, not tactics. There’s so much cr@p talked about tactics by people who barely know how to win at dominoes.” If you disagree, show me how many European cups you have won ?

Exactly, and not even saying he should have. Just that it was so obvious early on that these changes were plastered all over here and have been for the last 35 game weeks. I’m more astonished by those claiming nothing has been changed. But I guess there are other reasons long removed from logic that is the motivation behind that.

Not sure what you mean here. Are you saying that tactics don’t matter? Why do we pay a manager then? Also not sure what you mean regarding European Cups. You talk about politics right? How many times you been elected to Prime Minister? Any person who has studied the game for decades for decades should be able to hold a conversation regarding tactics, shouldn’t they? I’m amazed some lack the confidence to make such basic observations personally. [Post edited 10 Apr 2022 0:05]

How many terms have you served as Prime Minister? (As you can gather, the answer is irrelevant).

I accept he is currently employed as a football manager with little to no success as of yet. I also accept that I am in a different but equally analytical profession within sport who is employed to make such observations into the weaknesses in certain teams and set ups. I also accept that what I said he should change very early on - he has done so. That is accurate right?

Exactly. So in other words what you say is just an opinion, nothing more. If one day you win a European cup like Brian Clough, who I quoted, then your opinion will carry a bit more weight. Until then..............

Same as Russell then. Opinion until he wins a European cup. Until then it’s opinion vs opinion and who’s opinion is correct gets shown by what happens. On this occasion, the way I suggested we should be playing very early on, appears to be correct. Doesn’t it.
