Tim Robinson will be the referee when Swansea City host Derby County at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday (3pm). The West Sussex official will be taking charge of a Swans game for the second time this season — having overseen the home win over Blackburn in February - and just the fourth time in total. He previously had the whistle for the away win at Reading during the 2018-19 season, and the defeat at Fulham the following campaign. Robinson will be assisted by Andrew Fox and Nigel Lugg, while Sam Allison will be the fourth official. Robinson has taken charge of 30 games in all competitions this season, dishing out 132 yellow cards 🟨 and six reds 🟥 including the one issued to Ryan Manning in that meeting with Blackburn. 132 yellows in 30 games ! Have noticed with a little more stability in the defence, one of the two defensive midfielder hasn't had to drop so deep meaning that in the middle of the park there isn't such a big gap in the midfield, helps having Piroe actively dropping back into the space to give options as well so the ball can go forward not back. Paterson also drops back at time but tends to end out on the flanks instead of the middle.
Have wondered given we play wingbacks why the four midfielders don't try to condense midfield at times especially when team are trying to get at us in the midfield area. [Post edited 9 Apr 2022 10:36]

Already taking a nose dive after a superb site over the last 6 days but was always going to happen Keith.
When posters start saying things like proper fans and grown up perspective in clear digs at other fans then that's the source that kicks issues off. If posters are going to antagonise then it will create multiple posts of arguments, insults etc.
Can we just all cut it out and try to control yourselves, we all want debate but let's stop short at the cheap shots please.
Let's enjoy the site, the banter and the interaction and do so in a level with one another.

Derby fans visiting us in droves over the years have always been one of the more hard core and vociferous - they need to be silenced from the off.
We don't need them early doors in proper Schwing, Party-on mode, Wayne's World-esque.
Let's hope Grimes & Co drive them backwards in droves, from the off.
Despite Wayne's heroic efforts (and the way in which he's conducted himself and the team) they need to be taught a lesson - on and off the pitch. We can do our bit today, the relative exemplar Club off the pitch and let's hope on it (selection and tactics is the key - we have the players). | |

They also don't have to get out of the way if a player runs straight into them, which is what it looked like from one of the angles (and maybe the referee's). He pretty obviously leans across to block from the main TV camera though.
