To think that might have been Wrexham. Azeez was unplayable in the first half but completely invisible in the second. Hull were magnificent on the night.
Belloumi's goal was a thing of beauty, and funny (if you're into schadenfreude like I am) as he was up against the just on, floundering sub Doughty 😂
Got to be gutted if your Millwall, manager lost them the game, excuses before the start about the travel back from the first leg being away, then with the subs changed the formation Doughty and Bannon terrible, team practically gave up after the first goal.
One thing you have to say for Hull they are bloody fit. Can see it being one of those seasons where Boro beat Southampton and Hull go up and post one of the lowest prem points totals

4 London clubs guaranteed in the Championship next season (I don't include Watford obvs.). In fact it could still very well end up being Ourselves and the EastEnders (Millwall, Charlton, West Ham).

Apparently Hull changed to 3 centre backs to combat Coburn who didn’t get a sniff. Adapting to the opposition….maybe we should think about doing that for a change?

Hull have done a proper job on Millwall tonight: their manager totally out-thought Neill. Think they’ve got a great chance in the final if they play like that again. Will have absolutely no chance of staying up in the Premier League though.

That's what I got from watching that game, as well.

How do they select refs for crunch games regards religion?
I mean, I’m sure they say it doesn’t matter, but, a) really, and b) it doesn’t stop people thinking it influences decisions. Do they have a roster of atheist refs?
This is an issue up there and certain refs always seemed to award soft decisions, especially penalties, to certain teams. To an extent the introduction of VAR has reduced this because it was pretty blatant before.

It's odd, or brutal, how you spend all season craving to reach the playoffs and then you're stuffed and gone after disappointing in the semi finals. Even worse if you were sniffing the autos as in Millwall's case.
Worth bearing in mind when we have high hopes for reaching the golden place of 8th next season, where you have one away game against 5th just to get into the semi finals.
That is my jolly good morning message, I thankyou.
