Apparently Hull changed to 3 centre backs to combat Coburn who didn’t get a sniff. Adapting to the opposition….maybe we should think about doing that for a change? |
Hull manager handed Neil his own ars last night. He's probably not talked about enough the job he's done there this year given the state they were in when he arrived. Went to a back three which Millwall clearly weren't expecting and didn't deal with, then as soon as Neil tried to open it up in the final half hour and go for the win they just walked through the space. It was actually really interesting watching tactics play out like that. Enjoyed the game.
The other thing they did was get on the front foot in the first ten minutes. Hull were by far the better team minutes 1-10, which enabled them to establish a foothold in the game. Last couple of times we've gone there we've done the opposite. Turns out 10,000 South Londoners shouting "Millllllllllllll" at you isn't a completely insurmountable, scary prospect after all. |  | |  |

This is an issue up there and certain refs always seemed to award soft decisions, especially penalties, to certain teams. To an extent the introduction of VAR has reduced this because it was pretty blatant before. |
Hmm although in Saturday's case VAR got the ref to have another look and he still said no! | |

Got to be gutted if your Millwall, manager lost them the game, excuses before the start about the travel back from the first leg being away, then with the subs changed the formation Doughty and Bannon terrible, team practically gave up after the first goal.
One thing you have to say for Hull they are bloody fit. Can see it being one of those seasons where Boro beat Southampton and Hull go up and post one of the lowest prem points totals |
Soton with home advantage and in decent form, I'd be surprised if Boro won but you never know. | |

Not sure. Always possible of course Hearts bottle it in a soft home game against Falkirk but Motherwell away for Celtic is tricky with Motherwell still needing a point. Assuming both win Hearts go into the Celtic game with the draw in their favour which isn’t a bad position to be in. Wouldn’t want to be the referee for that one. |

Closed other than a few which I think was for disabled/carers. Only teams that pose no threat whatsoever on the pitch get the bottom tier. | | | |
