I was very impressed with the half time warm up routine by Tadic, twisting and turning and looking very dynamic. It was a pity that it must have exhausted him as he fell asleep late in the half when caught in possession a couple of times.
I haven't seen RKs post match interview as yet but his pitchside attitude looked very morose and not very inspiring. Is his heart in a different place, I sincerely hope not.

How much longer will Koeman be here? This was diabolical.

Hasselbaink & his predecessor both have a reluctance to bring on Substitutes. We keep conceding late goals as our aging players must get tired, particularly with all that defending. After Blackburn equalised in the 85 minute, we brought on Petrasso on the 88 minute & Chery 1 minute into injury time. I see that Blackburn to get back into the game got ALL three substitutes on well before, bringing on fresh legs to get the equaliser.

Instead of feeling total misery
I am moved to a bout of amphigory
The saints turned up and performed as a team
I began to think I was deep in a dream
Davies, Targett, Long all deserve mention
They wanted to play, that was their intention
Even the ref had a pretty good game
And that's one for the book, as they're generally lame
As for Sadio Mane, please teach him to shoot
Or at Man Utd he'll merely be a substitute

How on earth did the BBC pick Sadio as Man of the Match! Unbelievable!

Amazing intensity from the get-go, Davis absolutely outstanding and superb performances from Romeu, Clasie, Soares, Van Dyke and Targett. We have waited a long time for this. A better performance that the win against Arsenal and the only downside was the rate of conversion of chance into goals. I felt sorry for Gomes who was the busiest man on the pitch and helped keep the score down to two. 5,6 or 7 nil would have been a better reflection of the run of play but Watford were competitive throughout to make e a greta match overall. More of the same on Saturday gentlemen. please.

good performance in the wet we had a good pair in centre mid Clasie and Romeu terriers .. Matt Targett crossing as vastly improved and Shane Long's untiring effort Not forgetting Mane and on another day could have netted three Steven Davies goal was superbly taken no way was it OFFSIDE. Should have been 5.. Good to see the First team nearly back to full strength. Another striker to pair up front and we will be back up there.

One swallow doth not a summer make and certainly not a wet and cold January evening, but its one hell of a lot better than the alternative! In fact, I don't think that the team was doing very much different to usual, just 10% better and with a lot more energy. The high pressing game that suits in particular Long, Mane and Tadic worked well and Davis was immense in midfield. Silly mistakes were avoided at the back and but for a bit of ill-fortune and some first class goal-keeping from Gomes, we could have had a hatful. I went to this game with fairly low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by how just small changes can affect the outcome. The frustration is that so many previous games could have ended like this had just a little more skill and application been brought to bear. My hopes for the weekend are up a bit but not by much I regret to say. Two or three further performances like this however and they will be up to volume 11!

Great energy and skill all round from a number of players. Shooting boots still missing for Mane. If we carry on like this someone is going to feel like Sunderland did last season. Keep it up boys.
