I know which Irving you’re talking about, mun.

You were imagining him having a link with Labour. He has.

If you have a modest income but also hold a shares labour will now tax dividends at 20%. Some people would be worse of by up to £400.
Another tax increase if you are in the 95% of people labour promised would not pay more tax.

The words “brewery” and “piss-up” spring to mind...

Scottish Labour officials confirmed a report in the Falkirk Herald it had dropped Safia Ali as a candidate and suspended her party membership after past antisemitic posts on Facebook surfaced, in the latest controversy about candidate selections.

Michael Sharpe, Scottish Labour’s general secretary, told the Falkirk Herald:

I deeply regret the people of the Falkirk constituency will no longer have a Labour candidate to campaign and vote for on December 12.

There is no place for antisemitism, or any form of racism and bigotry, in our party. That is why Labour is taking robust action to root it out of our movement and wider society.

Presumably the “robust action” doesn’t extend to check the candidates history and background before putting them forward as a candidate?

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

If Labour are hoping for help from the SNP, maybe the SNP need to change their strategy too. Blackford has been accused, possibly proven of telling an outright lie about Scottish contributions to UK budgets. Sturgeon has been harangued for constantly going on about indeyref2 as if nothing else matters and she may not be as popular as she would want.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/11/27/the-snp-comes-undone/

PS, the things said about Neill and Kuenssberg, the BBC and QT on here may or may not be accurate but it's a typical political ploy to try and denigrate people you disagree with. If there is bias (of course there is) are we better off talking about the journalists or talking about the answers the politicians gave, or didn't give and concentrating on the parties policies and manifestos?
Of course, we can't talk about Bojo's answers until he fronts up, maybe the Sturgeon and Corbyn displays spooked him? Corbyn is certainly spooked, he's pulled out of two tv debates, the SKY one completely and another one where he's sending Long-Bailey instead, running scared? At least he attempted the fence with Neill, Bojo has refused it so far. Using horse racing again, it's more a fools Derby than a Grand National and by next week they could be neck and neck or we could still have a clear favourite and just like horses, whoever wins will walk around leaving pikles of steaming schit laying around for the rest of us to deal with.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I'm sorry but LK is nothing more than DCs mouthpiece. Even Peston added questions to the end of his post. To be seen as less objective than Peston says a lot, don't you think?

It really is.
Doesn't have to face Neil.
Highlights the stupidity and incompetence of Corbyn and his crowd.
Gets one over on the BBC who have done everything possible to help those who want to frustrate Brexit.

Loved his answer to the poor BBC journalist asked to get him to explain...
Something like;
"I'll be doing lots of interviews"
and
"what do you mean I'm avoiding scrutiny, scrutinise me man, are you saying you are incapable of scrutinising me...I demand that you scrutinise me."

To any floating voters...
This cretin Corbyn and his shower want to ditch Boris' deal and be allowed to renegotiate on your behalf (before campaigning against their own deal of course...the EU must be shitting in their boots)….THEY CAN'T EVEN SUCCESSFULLY NEGOTIATE THE RULES OF A TV LEADERSHIP DEBATE WITH THE BBC!

Please consider carefully before casting your vote.

But, but you say that the Tories are going to win the election, so how are THEY going to pay for their promises. Because they have said nothing about that in the manifesto.

Labour has explained what they're going to do, the Tories are keeping it a secret.

You can go to the polling station...but can’t vote.😱

Nah - as long as you’re on the register you can vote. Check you’ve got the right card for your local polling station though.

The closing date for postal votes to be sent back has not been reached yet. Just post your vote .
Alternatively take you postal vote form to your polling station you can hand it in there.
You cannot vote at your polling station if you have registered for a postal vote ( you can only hand in your postal vote form)

Info already posted but here you go

https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/voter/voting-person-post-or-proxy/

Returning your postal vote
When you're ready to return your postal vote, take it to the postbox yourself.

If you can't post it yourself, you can either ask someone you know and trust to post it for you, or you can contact your local authority to ask if they can collect it from you.

Avoid asking a candidate or party worker to post it for you.

Your postal vote needs to be with your local authority by 10pm on polling day to be counted.

If you can't post your postal vote pack in time, you can take it your polling station or to your local authority on polling day.

This is part of the problem, they all go on about growth but we can't have constant growth, there has to be a limit. Sooner or later we have to stop prioritising growth and look at need, give everybody what they need first.
As long as our first economic priority is growth and rising profits we are still on the road to disaster. Not just the UK, that's a worldwide thing.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I've said before, I think I am probably a communist at heart but accept that it can never work because we can't overcome human nature, greed, selfishness etc.
Every time I do a political compass test I come out just left of centre not that many "Corbynistas" will believe that no matter how often I slate Bojo.

Maybe you'd be surprised to know I don't disagree with a fair bit of the Labour manifesto but I just do not trust Corbyn and he has too many unsavoury friends, too many links with people who should be nowhere near our PM.....I can say the same for Bojo and that's why I won't be voting for either.

Well the BBC has already capitulated by allowing Johnson on Marr tomorrow after previously saying it won’t happen unless he agrees to the Neil interview so it’s already begun.
