For the last 40 years, despite the demographic evidence, governments of all political persuasions have sacrificed long term planning on issues such as health, housing, pensions and infrastructure for short term vote winners. It will be the same at the next election and the slow slide of decline will continue.
I think people being inherently selfish means we will be on that slide of decline for a long while yet. Drastic action is needed to reform Wales/UK, but there is no appetite for it.
The latest ORR report for rail passenger usage July-Sept 22
Another big jump of + 27 Million more passenger journeys including 5 days of strikes so realistically 30 Million more journeys that's another quarterly increase in the last 5 reports

That is just it and with the English been more inclined to be selfish than the Celts, no offense intended just calling a spade a spade what hope is there, independence ?
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.
Good to see the TASS Union had settled its strike with Network Rail. Just goes to show what happens when a pragmatic union is willing is prepared to negotiate.

Most unions want to talk, it's this bloody government that won't negotiate.
The TSSA’s organising director, Luke Chester, said it was “great news and a great deal for our members in Network Rail. It just shows what can be done through negotiations when there’s a serious offer on the table.”
He said strikes had won the improved offer, which would mean an 11% rise for those on lower salaries, and that the deal was significantly better than anything proposed by the train operating companies, where industrial action would continue
Perhaps a serious offer and going on strike does make a difference 🤔

The TSSA clearly negotiated with network Rail. They agreed a minimum 9% wage increase with 11% for the lower paid. If they can do it why can't the RMT? Perhaps because Lynch won't agree to negotiate.
Three strikes look like they have been settled by negotiations.
TSSA Unite (felixstowe port workers) Unite (baggage handlers at Heathrow) has suspended their strike while the put pay offer to members.

Lynch seemed to have lost focus earlier in the week ranting on about Starmer, the BBC and ITV.

Stop bringing up Lynch mun, you do realise he has nothing to do with the Nurses having to strike he also has nothing to do with all the others now striking and boy are there a lot of others.
