Good news

If he wants to establish himself in the Prem he probably needs a loan move to the Champ.

QPR would be useful for him, I hear they can on occasion play good quality football, the manager can develop talent as well and this would get him 'match fit' for next season.

Just an idea of course. Now watch twitter go into meltdown :p

I saw the interview of him there earlier. Still as humble and grounded as ever. He really is a great chap. Can't wait to see him play for England one day.

Never knowingly right.

Haha!

Yes the Palace fans love him as much as we do.

And they haven't really seen him at his absolutely best given Roy's preference to see him in an auxiliary defensive mid role much of the time.

Hope the new manager lets him roam free a bit!

Superb post as always Nix.The best thing that happened for his career was RH moving on to retirement or just moving out.
Having Eze in a defensive midfield role was bizarre and really held him back IMO.
I was hoping Saha would move on too but he seems to have settled in under Vieira and this team is going places this year .
Once Eze gets back in the team he will once again display his talents and should get more of the ball with Gallagher being such an unselfish player .Good luck to him

Said to be making a comeback today. Great stuff. Hope he can stay fit and achieve great things under Vieira, may be a great combination with Conor Gallagher playing so well.

One of the most loveable footballers I can remember. I think we'll always wish him the very best.

I expect, just like no-one can remember fans singing "Sacked in the morning" to Warnock at MK Dons, that you'll never find anyone anyone who thought Eze was arrogant & lazy.

All very nice for him, he's a smashing bloke and all that but really, bollox to Palace.

Came on for Palace on 60 minutes, BBC says to a large round of applause. Great for him to be back playing in the first team and I'll actually make an effort to watch motd tonight just to see him

There’s some rumour going about that Newcastle are planning a bid of £45m in the summer for Eze.

Did we include a sell on clause?

We'd get 20% of that. Would be an incredible bonus so soon.

That would be amazing for us.
Although....can’t help feeling a bit grubby at the thought of him at Newcastle.
Every silver lining has a cloud I suppose!

Never know might drive his price up a bit further, there must be other Prem teams with a bit of cash to splash on his talent.

if the answer to the question of 'Which asset do we need to sell to survive?' is 'Ebere Eze' twice in a row, then I think it's time to start sounding out bronze statue makers...

Can we not knock it?

More than doubled in value in two years, when he hasn't started a game and has played a total of 131 mins this season and last season, before his injury, 4 goals and 6 assists in 29 starts and 5 appearances of the bench.?

Love Eze but £45 million, really? Transfer market have him at £18 million.

Really hope I am proved wrong.

What a player is worth and what a club is willing to pay are different matters. if there's any substance in this you can bet his agent will be in overtime trying to tender around clubs to force the highest price possible.
Whilst it's all a bit vulgar if we end up with another £9m out of it then hooray.

Mate, it's newcastle.
It's the modern day equivalent of Peter Ridsdale sorting a contract.

Bare bones.

I would have thought that If money not a problem they would go for Gallagher before Eze.

Is the add on 20% of the amount he is sold for or 20% of any profit CPFC make?
