Scargill was a real piece of work. There’s no way he would get away with what he did today with social media available and the like.

I'm a strong supporter of the police Gwyn, but neither would they have got away with their antics either with social media about.

I don't think so to be fair, Welsh, Scots, English all much the same. Most act in pure self interest, its not a trait based on geography but of humans in general. Although i would agree that indy is a viable option, its much easier to make a difference on a small scale than a larger one.

Traits are less visible as the world gets smaller, they used to say the Welsh fight for family, friends, culture and the English for money, land, possessions. And of course Wales votes differently Liberal before the creation of the Labour party then Labour, England votes Tory.

England has also voted Labour and will in the next election. It's quite a diverse place really, with many types of people, of different origins, nationalities and religions...trust me. The Toffs are only a small minority and tend to inhabit parts of London and the Home Counties. The posh parts mind. You wouldn't find their habitats, in a sink estate in Bermondsey for example. The salt of the earth types you will find in terraced houses ooop north. Generally they have a wife and three scruffy urchins (normally pickpockets). They share their squalid dwellings with a smelly whippet and a rabid Ferret. They earn their pittance either down mine or up at mill. These people tend to vote Labour. At one time the Welsh tribes inhabited many parts of London. They we called 'School Teachers' You would normally find them on a Saturday afternoon at London Welsh displaying their amazing dexterity in a game called Rugby. They were generally married to a girl called Ffion with two children named Dafydd and Rhiannon ( not to be mixed up with that skanky singer Rhianna). Rhiannon plays one mean Harp! ☺ï¸ðŸ˜‚

More than Plaid though. Labour will always be the biggest party in Wales and regardless how crap the Tories are they are number two. Many Welsh people have Conservative principles, which I know doesn't fit your agenda or beliefs but is a fact of life. You can 'tub thump' as much as you wish but it won't change anything.

Its amazing that you such an authority on people in Cymru who you have never met, people who vote for Labour/plaid progressive politics in every election for 100 years, but you presume to know that actually they all hold Conservative and Unionist principles. You are wrong.

More people voted tory than Plaid Cymru at the Sened, that is a fact. For the general election, people were more interested, the turnout was over 16% higher and more people voted for Bojo there than voted for Drakeford in the Senedd vote. I think 440,000 voyed Labour in the Senedd but over 557,000 voted Tory in the GE. It ot nly shows there is less interest in the Senedd with over half of the Welsh electorate not bothering but then, when so many vote tory in the GE does it show they think the Senedd doesn't matter? If all those tory voters turned out for a Senedd election what might happen? I'd like to know how many voted for Bojo and Drakeford. Either way Plaid Cymru are an irrelevance who are only having any say because it gives drakeford his majority, the third placed party having a say in power, the tail wagging the dog.
