I’m not so sure. I think he’s at his level now. No disrespect o him but there’s a gulf between the Championship and the PL.

Personally I wouldn't swap Dan James for Pablo. Dan is "in the game" far more than Pablo ever was. Pablo used to have lazy days when he just didn't want to do anything. Footballers are like summers I guess, we just remember the good days. | | | |

Pablo's departure was a bit of a mystery. Monk had moved him to a more central role and he hit a purple patch just before he left. I wondered if his decision to go to Al-Arabi was about the general exodus of Spanish players and him feeling that his days were numbered. When he tired of the desert he went on loan to Rayo Vallecano, and I was only one of a couple on the forum who said he might be worth a look. He was better than the wingers we had when we went down, but I would have fielded him as a midfield play-maker in a central role. | | | |

Yeah he was very very talented with us. His big issue was he kept picking up niggling injuries and he could struggle sometimes with the pace and physicality of the premier league but his quality was never in question. | |
